KUALA LUMPUR: Investigation papers on the transfer of Felda land in Jalan Semarak are expected to be submitted to the Attorney-General's Chamber next week, said Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun.
"I cannot go into details of the investigation but we expect to submit the investigation papers by end of next week," the Inspector-General of Police said.
"We have called up persons of interest in the case and our investigation is on-going," he told a press conference after launching the new Aseanapol headquarters on Friday.
Last week, former Felda chairman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad had his statement recorded over the matter.
According to earlier reports, Felda risked losing ownership of its land in Jalan Semarak following the transfer of the land through alleged dubious transactions since 2015.
Mohd Isa was Felda chairman from 2011 to January 2017.
On an unrelated matter, the IGP said police have not received positive feedback from their Pakistani counterparts on a Malaysian terror suspect caught at Karachi airport recently.
"Response is slow and not encouraging.
"We are still waiting for more progress in the matter," he said.
