PETALING JAYA: Are you ready for a date with Taiwan’s “Most Beautiful Auntie”?
Celebrity host and veteran actress Chen Mei Feng (pic) will be in Penang this weekend to celebrate dimsum’s first anniversary.
Chen, who hosts the hugely popular talk show A Date With Mei Feng, will have a meet-and-greet session with her fans at 8pm on Jan 13 at Gurney Paragon Mall (Atrium, Level 1).
The session is part of the Star Media Group-owned video-on-demand subscription service’s “Celebrate Asia With Us” event, which will be held at the mall from Friday to Sunday, 10am to 10pm daily.
Chen is a multi-talented actress and TV personality with more than 30 years of experience in showbiz.
She has starred in Hokkien dramas such as Love and Night Market Life.
The 60-year-old entertainer is also known for her svelte figure and youthful looks, which inspired the nickname “Taiwan’s Most Beautiful Obasan” (“obasan” means “auntie” in Japanese).
As a beauty and healthy lifestyle expert, Chen shares her tips and recipes on her talk show, which is available on dimsum.
Besides the meet-and-greet session, the three-day event will also feature a range of activities, stage games and giveaways.
These will be conducted in thematic pavilions representing the countries from which dimsum gets its shows – China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.
Participants who subscribe to dimsum during the event will enjoy a special anniversary offer at only RM5 per month.
