Malaysian freed from Myanmar jail

GEORGE TOWN: Wisma Putra has expressed relief over the release of Malaysian journalist Mok Choy Lin (pic) from prison, a week ahead of her scheduled release.

Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican said the ministry has been closely monitoring the case and is relieved that Mok has been freed ahead of the Jan 5 release.
