Duo fined RM7,500 each for stealing Reclining Buddha statue

GEORGE TOWN: A 29-year-old company executive and a 37-year-old antiques dealer was fined RM7,500 each for stealing a Reclining Buddha statue from the prayer hall of the Penang Buddhist Association.

Magistrate Qasiratul Jannah Usmani Othman handed down the sentence in default 12 months' jail on Lim Su-Quinn and Lim Keng Liang from their date of arrest on Dec 22.
