PETALING JAYA: The G25 group of prominent Malays has voiced concern over the police investigation into Prof Datuk Dr Shad Saleem Faruqi over his article about the rise of Islamic radicalism.

"The investigation against the professor on his claim sets a dangerous precedent that any discussion on Islam and its place within the Constitution, that is not in line with the official view, will be considered by the authorities as radical and therefore a threat to national peace and security," G25 said in a statement on Dec 23 (Saturday).
