GEORGE TOWN: As of next year, all entertainment outlets except for those in shopping malls, supermarkets and hotels in Penang will not be allowed to operate "simulator" machines as they have been found to incorporate illegal gambling.

Penang Local Government, Traffic Management and Flood Mitigation Committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow said the state government had approved the freezing of renewals and the issuance of licences for simulator machines except for the three specified places.
