PETALING JAYA: The US$39.6bil (RM161.61bil) in losses suffered by Bank Negara Malaysia between 2013 and 2015 was a reflection in the decline international reserves due to the outflow of foreign funds, not losses due to mismanagement, said Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani.

The Second Finance Minister was responding to Pakatan Harapan chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who in a video posted on YouTube on Dec 10 said that Bank Negara had lost US$39.6bil (RM161.61bil) between 2013 and 2015 in managing the country's international reserves.
