Five fire victims laid to rest


Solemn occasion: The remains of the five victims killed in the Nov 7 pre-dawn fire being laid to rest in Semeling, Sungai Petani.

ALOR SETAR: The remains of five of the six Indonesians killed in an arson attack were buried after DNA tests confirmed their identities.

The burial in Semeling, Sungai Petani, was held in the presence of Indonesia’s Consul-General to Penang Iwanshah Wibisono, Consul of Consular Affairs Machdaniar Nisfah and officers from the Kuala Muda district police headquarters after Friday prayers.
