GEORGE TOWN: Film producers will have to apply for a permit from the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) when filming in public places here effective Jan 1.
MBPP Licensing and Public Health Standing Committee alternate chairman Ong Ah Teong said the new guideline would apply to the filming of movies, dramas, documentaries, as well as advertisement and broadcasting programmes.
