Man gets RM10,000 fine for insulting King and PM


KUALA LUMPUR: Insulting the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Prime Minister resulted in a RM10,000 fine, in default six months’ jail, for former medical houseman Mohd Shariman Shahrir Omar.

Sessions Court judge Zaman Mohd Noor imposed the sentence after Mohd Shariman, 39, pleaded guilty to posting a comment on Facebook with intention to annoy others at 11.42pm on Oct 11 last year.
