The Suri Hati Mr Pilot star said it has always been his goal to pursue fame in countries such as Taiwan, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

Chong, however, declined offers to act overseas out of fear of being cheated by production companies.

“As an artiste, I have to be careful. I rejected the offers because I did not have much information on the companies,” he said.

Chong said he would continue building his reputation in Malaysia before spreading his wings to other countries.
