Quick thinking driver saves lives

TAIPING: Quick thinking by a bus driver saved the lives of passengers of an express bus, which caught fire at KM200 of the North-South Expressway in Kamunting near here.

A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the driver promptly stopped the vehicle and directed his passengers to alight from the double-decker bus after smelling and seeing thick smoke from one of the tyres.
