Police: Rumours of water being released from Tasik Kenyir dam are untrue

KUALA BERANG: Rumours going viral on social media that an emergency siren was sounded in Tasik Kenyir signalling the release of water from the dam is not true, say the police.

Hulu Terengganu police chief DSP Mohd Adli Mat Daud, who denied the posting on the Facebook page "Pasir Puteh Today", asked people not to be alarmed by the fake news and to refer any issues regarding the matter to the agencies involved.
