OVER 290,000 people have been declared bankrupt as of August, with Selangor recording the highest number. Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said said 296,712 individuals were declared bankrupt overall, with 24.3% (72,114) of those in Selangor.
The second highest number is in Johor with 50,225 cases, followed by the Federal Territory (46,377), while Perlis had the lowest with 1,037.
