SINGAPORE: The legal tussle between Malaysian and Singapore over which nation has sovereignty over Pulau Batu Puteh is a model for amicable resolution of international disputes, says the island nation's minister of foreign affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan.

“Malaysia and Singapore have been able to resolve differences peacefully, and by using international law –  processes and institutions that are set up under international law. And that, in fact, is a very good model,” he said during an interview with 15 visiting journalists from the ASEAN region at the ministry offoreign affairs  building here on Thursday (Nov 23).
