ALOR SETAR: The Sessions Court here allowed the case involving 30 alleged “Pak Su Gang” members including its leader Johari Ariffin to be transferred to the Alor Setar High Court.
The accused have been charged with being members of an organised crime group in the Kubang Pasu district, under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012, between Jan 1 2015 and Oct 8 2017.
Sessions Judge Azman Abu Hassan delivered the decision Monday after Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohd Izhanudin Alias applied for permission for the case to be transferred.
However, the re-mention date at the Alor Setar High Court has not been fixed.
All the alleged members of the Pak Su Gang, including Johari, 35, who was also known as the “King of Borders”, had earlier been charged separately at the same court on Sept 26, Oct 9 and Nov 2, 2017.
The court had earlier disallowed bail.
