Najib wrongfully added as party in suit

KUALA LUMPUR: The Prime Minister was wrongfully added as a party in a suit over a US$3.5bil (RM14.6bil) bond loan made by 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) from an international petroleum company and its subsidiary, a counsel argued in the High Court here.

Counsel Datuk Mohd Hafarizam Harun said his client Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had asked to cease as a party in the suit by 10 Gerakan Anak Muda Tolak Najib (Gant1) members as those involved at the London Court of International Arbitration were International Petroleum Investment Company (Ipic) and its subsidiary Aabar Investment PJS (Aabar asli).
