KUALA LUMPUR: A single mother who took the Nov 11 Singles’ Day sale too far was fined RM500 by a magistrate for stealing nearly half a thousand ringgit in groceries.
Hamidah Basharuddin, 61, pleaded guilty to stealing food items and toiletries worth RM493.56 from the Aeon supermarket in Section 1, Wangsa Maju, here at 11.10am on Nov 11.
