One dead after trailer crashes into two vehicles on Kota Tinggi highway

KOTA TINGGI: Traffic came to a standstill on the Kota Tinggi highway after a trailer carrying a load of oil palm fruit bunches was involved in an accident with two other vehicles, leaving one man dead.

The fruit bunches scattered all over the road following the crash which took place near the Felda Adela at around 3pm on Wednesday (Nov 15).

The accident took place when the vehicles were heading towards Kota Tinggi.

"One of the drivers Ahmad Tajuddin Md Ali, 39, was stuck in his vehicle and died on the spot," said Penawar Fire and Rescue Department operations officer Abd Rahim Abd Rani, as efforts to clear the scene was still ongoing.
