Najib: Friendship between PBS and Federal Government will continue

KOTA KINABALU: The friendship between Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) and the Federal Government will continue for the benefit of the nation, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

"I believe the friendship that PBS has extended all this time will continue for the benefit of the nation," the Prime Minister said in his message in the souvenir programme for the PBS 32nd congress on Nov 18.

In his message, the Prime Minister said social justice, political stability and economic progress would be pursued on the premise of unity among the people.

He said this is embodied in the concept of 1Malaysia, which means that the Government subscribes to uniting the people, placing their interest first and prioritising performance for the success of the national agenda.

Najib also said the Barisan Nasional Federal Government was paying close attention to Sabah and Sarawak and that there was close cooperation and good understanding with party leaders from the two states.

He said Barisan grassroots leaders would go to the ground, meet with the people to understand their needs and help them solve their problems.
