ALOR SETAR: Firemen in Kedah are monitoring rivers in the state which might burst their banks during the current rainy season so they can sound the alarm and carry out rescue work should the need arise.
Kedah Fire and Rescue Depart-ment director Abdul Razak Muda said firemen assigned to the duty would carry out observations three times a day – morning, evening and night.
