PETALING JAYA: Two major women’s umbrella bodies in the country are working with the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry to revive a proposed sexual harassment law that has been talked about for more than a decade.
A specific Act is required because there are different aspects of sexual harassment and current provisions under the Employment Act and Penal Code are not comprehensive enough to provide proper help to victims, said All Women’s Action Society (AWAM) training consultant Betty Yeoh.
