Huge storm cloud looms over Penang

GEORGE TOWN: A major storm cloud has drifted over Penang and heavy rain has started to fall over many parts of the island.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department issued a storm warning at 9.10am on Saturday, predicting thunderstorms and strong winds over Penang, northern and central Perak, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negri Sembilan and Melaka.

A view of the horizon from Star Northern Hub at 12.45pm on Saturday showed a huge storm cloud blowing in from a north-westerly direction and a downpour was seen over Air Itam.
