BN reps petition Sultan over rejected motion on ‘Bugis remark’

SHAH ALAM: Selangor Barisan Nasional assemblymen submitted a memorandum to the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah to protest the State Legislative Assembly’s rejection of a motion to debate on Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s alleged insulting remark against the Bugis community.

Selangor deputy Umno chief Datuk Mat Nadzari Ahmad Dahlan and several other Barisan assemblymen handed over the memorandum at Istana Bukit Kayangan here yesterday.
