SIBU: The Government has launched the Mobile Entrepreneur Programme (Mobilepreneur@KKLW) to enable young entrepreneurs in rural areas to operate mobile businesses without having to rent a shop, Deputy Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi said.

Under Budget 2017, RM30mil has been allocated for the programme which gave selected participants aged between 18 and 45 an entrepreneurship package in the form of a motorcycle equipped with a tool box and business tools.

Alexander presented the entrepreneurship package to 59 participants from throughout Sarawak yesterday.

Some 3,000 entrepreneurs will benefit from the programme.
