GEORGE TOWN: The sole DAP backbencher who turned up at a dialogue session to discuss flood and landslide problems in Penang was booed and heckled for defending the state’s policies.
The booing began when Pulau Tikus assemblyman Yap Soo Huey stepped up to explain the difference in the state and Federal Government’s policies by pointing out that the Penang Structure Plan (PSP) 2020 prohibits development above 76m above sea level, but the Federal guidelines actually allow developments up to 300m.
