PUTRAJAYA: Introducing corporate liability law will force companies to be proactive in ensuring their organisation is free from corrupt practices, says the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
MACC deputy chief commissioner (Prevention) Datuk Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil said that under Malaysian law, individuals and not companies are liable for punishment when a corrupt act is committed.
