Update: MACC withdraws summons against Peter Anthony
The release was given by Magistrate Cindy Mc Juce Balitus who arrived at the hospital room where Peter is being warded for health issues.
His lawyer Martin Tommy said the MACC bail was set at RM50,000 with two local sureties.
"He is recuperating," he added.
Peter was the first of seven individuals detained for investigations into the alleged siphoning of funds meant for rural projects in Sabah between 2009 and 2015.
He was detained by the MACC on Oct 5.
MACC prosecuting officer Mohd Faliq Basirudin said that the paperwork for his release would be done at the Sabah MACC office later.
