PETALING JAYA: Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) said it no longer has an interest in its case against Muslim intellectual Kassim Ahmad (pic) who recently passed away.
While expressing his condolences to his family, Jawi director Abdul Aziz Jusoh said the department adhered to Syariah court's decision to acquit and discharge him for allegedly insulting Islam and defying the religious authorities.
