SERDANG: The Barisan Nasional Government's promises to the Indian community are not "vetti pechu" or empty talk but "nijam" or true, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The Prime Minister said this in his speech when closing the Indian Progressive Front's (IPF) 25th annual general assembly here, adding that Barisan intends to fulfil its promise to help the Indian community in Malaysia.
