KUALA LUMPUR: National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (Niosh) chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye has urged the Cabinet to discuss and introduce specific measures to ensure the safety of residential premises.
“The authorities should amend the existing law as there is currently no provision that compels the installation of grilles to follow the specifications set by the Fire and Rescue Department,” he said in a statement.
