GEORGE TOWN: There will be no water tariff increase in Penang as the Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP) has not applied for one this year.
However, its chief executive officer Datuk Jaseni Maidinsa said they were waiting approval for a water conservation surcharge (WCS) review that would only affect 23% of domestic consumers who use more than 35,000 litres per month.
