Flash flood causes partial collapse of KK-Sandakan trunk road

KOTA KINABALU: Traffic came to a standstill following a collapse of the busy Kota Kinabalu-Sandakan trunk road near Ranau, while more than 70 people were evacuated following flash floods in three districts late Sunday and early Monday.

About 50 people from 10 families at Kampung Entelibon in Tongod district were hastily evacuated from their homes at about midnight Sunday following after the nearby Sungai Melian burst its banks.
