TYCOON Robert Kuok (pic) has donated RM3mil to Foon Yew High School in Johor for a new building, Nanyang Siang Pau reported.

The 12-storey building, expected to be completed next year, would be named after the tycoon’s late father Kuok Keng Kang.

The school’s board of directors chairman Tong Sing Chuan said the board had sought help from Kuok Foundation Bhd in 2015.

He said the building was needed to accommodate the increasing number of students.

Two other buildings in the school are named after Kuok’s late mother, Tang Kak Ji.
