AMPANG: PAS is embarking on a commercial building project worth RM29mil in Kuala Dungun, Terengganu that is estimated to bring in a monthly income of RM80,000 to the party.

Designed to be a shopping mall, the one-and-a-half storey commercial building will be built on 1.8 acres of land and will cost RM12mil.

According to Kuala Nerus MP Datuk Dr Khairuddin Aman Razali, the cost of the land is RM3mil while the construction of the building will cost RM9mil.

“We will rent the space to big hypermarkets and local traders,” he said during his speech to Federal Territories PAS members.

Construction is expected to start in Jan 2018 and complete by mid-2019.

“When construction is complete, PAS central will own its own commercial building and receive a rental income of about RM80,000 a month to facilitate party activities,” the Dewan Ulama information chief added.

During his speech, Datuk Dr Khairuddin also encouraged PAS members to donate to the construction project.
