Najib hits out at opposition for belittling MRT project

Najib: 'The National Transformation 2050 is the country's long-term aspiration and I want to see Malaysia among the world's top 20 countries by 2050.'

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak lashed out at the opposition for belittling the government's effort in implementing the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Sungai Buloh-Kajang (SBK) Line project.

The Prime Minister said the project was introduced to enable people living in urban areas to enjoy a more efficient public transport network and a better standard of living, hence boosting the country's economy.
