IPOH: Despite the farmers struggling with lack of manpower, vegetable production in the highlands is increasing due to the good weather, said Cameron Highlands Malay Farmers Association chairman Datuk Syed Abd Rahman Syed Abd Rashid.
This has led to cheaper vegetables, he said, adding that the bountiful harvest was a ray of hope for farmers grappling with insufficient workers and issues over the temporary occupation licences (TOL) for their plots.
