Cops call Datuk’s bluff on royal awards scam


ALOR SETAR: Police are not buying the story by a ‘Datuk’ who was detained for organising an ‘investiture ceremony’, that no money was transacted from those receiving a so-called ‘Pingat Setia dan Raja Negara’ (PSRN) award.

Kedah Commercial Crime Investigation Department chief Supt Chan Teck Paing said the initial investigation found receipts for payments, showing that there were money transactions.
