PETALING JAYA: Members of the public can ask Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad any question they wish regarding scandals during the former premier's 22-year tenure at the upcoming Nothing to Hide 2.0 forum.

Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia Youth exco member Mohd Ashraf Mustaqim Badrul Munir also assured that the event would be a no-holds-barred platform.

"Everyone is welcome to the event and we hope that it will take place peacefully.

"The public is free to ask Dr Mahathir any questions – such as the forex scandal, Perwaja, the wealth of his sons and the Memali incident," he said to reporters during a press conference Wednesday.

Ashraf said that an invitation letter to the event had been sent to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at his office in Putrajaya on July 19 but they had not received a response.

"The topic that remains contentious with the public is the wealth of Dr Mahathir and of his sons.

"Let them answer to the public. We want to ensure a democratic platform so the public can judge for themselves," he said.

Ashraf also said that Pribumi had notified the police about the forum, but no approval had been issued.

"I will go to Shah Alam to follow-up on this.

We hope that the police will ensure that everything takes place peacefully.

This is not a provocation," he said.

The forum is slated to take place this Sunday (Aug 13) at Dewan Raja Muda Musa in Shah Alam from 3pm to 6pm.
