Najib: Government will keep on delivering for rakyat

KUALA LUMPUR: The Government has delivered and will continuously deliver for the benefit of the people, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

"It is just ridiculous to claim that our economy is failing, as some in the Opposition do. The World Bank recently reported that Malaysia's economy is progressing from a position of strength," said Najib.

He added at the handing over ceremony of the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) on Monday night that the strength has been built and will be guaranteed by the efforts of the Government and Malaysian people.

Najib cited MITEC as an example of how the Government has delivered on its plans for the people.

He added that for the over the past three weeks, Malaysians have been getting used to world class infrastructure and buildings, such as the launch of the second phase of the MRT line.

MITEC was developed through a public private partnership with the Government.The RM628mil facility was developed by Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd, the property arm of Naza Group  (Naza Corporation Holdings Sdn Bhd).

It was planned and developed to meet the growing demands of meeting, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (Mice) industry.
