Fishing vessels and crew held over breach of permits

IPOH: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency detained three local fishing boats, about 10 nautical miles south of Pulau Pangkor, for breaching the terms of their licence.

MMEA Maritime District Three Lumut director Maritime Kapt Wan Mat Wan Abdullah said its Nyalau patrol boat team led by Maritime lieutenant Ahmad Shaifuruddin Jamaluddin also detained the three skippers, and six Myanmar crew members who were on the boats, between 2pm and 3pm on Friday.
