IPOH: It will take at least two years for the Matang sub-district to be declared rabies-free, said the Perak Veterinary Services Department.
Its director Dr Fuziah Muhayat said the process "requires that no Lyssa virus, which causes rabies, are detected in all animal species including humans for a period of two years".
