KUALA LUMPUR: PAS is “optimistic” that debate on Datuk Seri Hadi Awang’s Private Member's Bill to empower the Syariah courts will take place this parliamentary meeting.
Its secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan (pix) said the Islamist party was confident that Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia would allow the debate on the motion to resume following its adjournment last April 6.
