PETALING JAYA: The Kota Baru Municipal Council’s directive to separate men and women taking part in a fun run proves that the public cannot trust the assurance given by Kelantan PAS that rulings policing the moral behaviour of Muslims will not affect non-Muslims, said politicians and social activists.
Datuk Noor Farida Ariffin from the G25 group of eminent Malays said the directive reflected the increasing conservatism of authorities in Kelantan.
