Salesman fined for sending porn to 14-year-old girl via WeChat

KUALA LUMPUR: A salesman was fined RM2,500 in default four months’ jail by the magistrate's court here on Wednesday for sending a pornographic picture to a 14-year-old girl through the WeChat application.

Magistrate Mahyudin Mohmad Som sentenced Mohamad Rizki Hamidasli, 35, after he pleaded guilty to the act at Taman Connaught, Cheras here, at 12.15am on July 8.

The accused, who is married and has a child, was charged under Section 509 of the Penal Code which provides a maximum jail sentence of five years or a fine or both.

According to the facts of the case, on July 10, the 33-year-old sister of the victim examined her sister’s mobile phone and found the accused requesting a nude picture of the victim and also inviting her to have sex at a hotel.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Nur Farah Adilah Noordin prosecuted while the accused was unrepresented. – Bernama
