Sabah tour boats given one month to install automatic identification system

LAHAD DATU:  The Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) will begin cracking down on tour boats that do not have the Automatic Identification System (AIS) starting next month.

Esscom commander Deputy Comm Hazani Ghazali said tour boat operators who failed to equip their boats with AIS will face the law, including the revocation of their boat licence.
