TAWAU: The processing of applications for the temporary resident identity card (MyKas) was halted temporarily at the Tawau branch of the National Registration Department (NRD) when thousands of people swarmed the office to apply for permanent resident (PR) status.
The incident yesterday happened after news went viral on WhatsApp on Thursday that MyKas holders could now apply for PR status.
