PETALING JAYA: Ships travelling the waters between Pengerang and Kuantan generally cater to oil and gas companies, which charter them to transport cargo and other necessities.
A source with decades of experience in the shipping industry said the area was part of the trade route linking ports from Singapore to Pasir Gudang, Pengerang and Kuantan all the way up to Thailand.
