IGP: Police await report from Japan over smuggling of gold bars

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are waiting for a full report from the Japanese authorities over the smuggling of more than 100kg of gold bars worth RM19.1mil (500 million yen) at the Kansai International Airport, Osaka, in April.

"(We) are still waiting for a complete report from the Japanese authorities and will investigate the case," Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar told Bernama on Monday.
