PETALING JAYA: The Works Ministry agrees that the feasibility and design fees paid for three road projects as part of the proposed undersea tunnel linking Penang island to Butterworth are excessive.
In a statement on Thursday, Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof (pic) said the company that was awarded the project "attempted" to use the name of the ministry to defend the alleged overpayment for a portion of the project.
